چکیده
The Padma Multipurpose Bridge (PMB) is one of the biggest megaprojects Bangladesh connecting third country with capital city, Dhaka. infrastructure expected to produce considerable uplift on nation’s transport system, national and regional economy, employment, household income, ultimately, poverty reduction. From construction river management points view, it most difficult engineering innovation-intenstive project in world. Hence required analytical, computational experimental studies. In this work, a 3D Finite Element (FE) model actual PMB containing single (6x150m) 900m modules has been developed MIDAS Civil, commercial computer program for bridges. P-y soil spring following API guideline conform flexible support system bridge pier. Following BNBC 2020, bridge's performance evaluated 475-year, 975 years, 2475-year return periods Service Level, Design Basis Maximum Credible Earthquake (MCE), respectively. forced based design shows that pier reached only 28% 36% its axial shear capacity respectively an earthquake period 2475 years. On other hand, maximum 41% total same seismic level.

the role of application of dynamic assessment approach in improvement of iranian efl writing performance at different language proficiency levels
the present study sought to investigate the role of dynamic assessment (da) in improvement of iranian efl writing performance at different language proficiency levels. to this end, after conducting the quick placement test, 60 iranian efl learners were assigned to two groups with different language proficiency levels. in both groups each participant wrote two compositions, one before and one af...
Detailed design of the main bridge – viaduct spans in Padma Multipurpose Bridge project, Bangladesh
The Padma Multipurpose Bridge Design Project comprises a new fixed crossing of the Padma River in Bangladesh, which will consist of a new main bridge approximately 6.15km long with spans crossing the Padma River. Viaduct spans on both sides of the Padma River support both the highway and railway traffic and lead this traffic onto the upper and lower levels of the main bridge. The length of the ...
متن کاملPERFORMANCE-BASED SEISMIC DESIGN OPTIMIZATION FOR MULI-COLUMN RC BRIDGE PIERS, CONSIDERING QUASI-ISOLATION
In this paper an optimization framework is presented for automated performance-based seismic design of bridges consisting of multi-column RC pier substructures. The beneficial effects of fusing components on seismic performance of the quasi-isolated system is duly addressed in analysis and design. The proposed method is based on a two-step structural analysis consisting of a linear modal dynami...
متن کاملNew Lateral Force Distribution for Seismic Design of Structures Based on Seismic Demand Ratio
The design of earthquake-resistant buildings starts with defining the maximum lateral earthquake forces or their resultant. The amount of these forces depends on various factors, including coefficient of system behavior which depends on overstrength and its ductility. In this study, a method is presented for designing an earthquake-resistant system in which the distribution of lateral forces is...
متن کاملA NEW APPROACH FOR EVALUATION OF SEISMIC SLOPE PERFORMANCE
The evaluation of seismic slope performance during earthquakes is important, because the failure of slope (such as an earth dam, natural slope, or constructed earth embankment) can result in significant financial losses and human. It is important, therefore, to be able to forecast such displacements induced by earthquake. However, the traditional forecasting methods, such as empirical formulae,...
